Paragliding

Phewa Lake Boating

For the best early-morning Himalayan views, book a hotel on the north side of Lakeside or a room with a mountain-facing balcony. The Annapurna range is most clearly visible in October–November and March–April. Cloud cover builds during the afternoon, so always get your mountain views in the morning.
Getting to Pokhara from Kathmandu
By Flight
25 minutes — the fastest and most popular option. Daily flights on Yeti Airlines, Buddha Air, Shree Airlines from KTM. Cost: $60–$100 each way. Book in advance, especially Oct–Nov.
By Tourist Bus
7–8 hours on the Prithvi Highway — a scenic mountain road journey. Luxury tourist buses depart from Thamel daily. Cost: $10–$15. Book the day before through your hotel or travel agency.
